What is Bright?

Bright is a mood-brightening pheromone formula built around the well-loved P96 putative pheromone, one of the mellow-and-upbeat molecules our community has chased for years. It ships as a light spray in a range of sizes, in whichever cover fragrance suits you.

The idea is simple: put it on, and you carry a clean, positive signal with you for the day. Think of it as good weather you can wear.

What it does, and how it feels

Field reports describe Bright as a steady lift rather than a rush. Wearers say they feel upbeat and easy in their own skin, and that the people around them seem to warm up, soften, and stick around a little longer.

Where flagship mood formulas like Shine and Molecule A are famous for a near drug-like high (and for making strangers drift mindlessly into your orbit), Bright takes a quieter route. Our data points to a cleaner, more even good mood, the kind you can run all day without the buzz.

Most people won’t be able to name what’s different about you. They’ll just decide you’re pleasant to be near.

How to wear it

If you’re new to this

Wear Bright the way you’d wear any cologne: a spray or two on the warm spots of your skin, the wrists, the neck, the crook of the arm. Start with no more than two sprays. There are active ingredients in here, and it’s easy to use too much.

If you want to experiment

The back of the hands is a favorite spot: a big surface you can casually “blow on” through the day to nudge diffusion (just be mindful when you wash up). For an over-the-top push, some wearers try a bit in the hair, where warmth and 100,000-odd strands move scent with real efficiency. That one’s a fun once-in-a-while trick, not a daily habit.

If you want a slow burn

Small dabs behind the ears release more slowly, which some personalities and settings prefer. It’s the same “slow burn” approach we recommend for very potent formulas like Alpha A314.

Surface area and warmth are the two dials. Play with location and season, note what works on your skin, and you’ll have Bright dialed in before long.

Downsides

Bright is covert by design, and that cuts both ways. The Androtics Neroli scent opens with a bright burst of orange, then dries down very light, so most people read it as leftover shower-fresh soap. If you like a fragrance that announces itself, this will feel too quiet.

The mood signal is subtle too. Fans of the big Shine “happy drug” hit sometimes find Bright understated on the first wear, and it takes a few outings to appreciate what the even, all-day version buys you.

A few practical notes: Version 1.0 is unisex only, with no gendered variants yet. And like any pheromone product, response varies with your own body chemistry, your technique, and the room, so some experimentation is part of the deal.

Why Bright Exists

Shine and Molecule A earned their reputations over decades of experience. They’re beloved for those good vibes, and equally known for the drug-like high and for making people wander into you like they forgot how walking works. But some days you’d rather skip the high and just feel good.

That’s the itch Bright was built to scratch. By centering the formula on P96 instead, we landed on a different chemistry entirely: the warmth without the buzz, clean enough to wear to a meeting. We introduced it in 2020 as a more mindful mood brightener than the Shine and Molecule A route, and P96 had earned the spotlight: people had been asking us to build formulas primarily around Molecule P96 practically since we started.

P96 isn’t the only road to a brighter mood, either. Smooth reaches a similar place through the equally impressive P91, so there are two covert alternatives worth trying, each running on completely different chemistry. Version 1.0 of Bright landed unisex, and we may build more gendered versions down the line.

Technical

Bright is centered on putative P96, an unusually harmonizing molecule our formulas lean on for its mellow-yet-upbeat character. As with everything we make, these are experimental putative pheromones, and we frame their effects around field reports rather than clinical promises.

The current release runs our V3 particle-processing system, the strongest diffusion tech we’ve shipped, which helps the formula move from your skin into the air around you even in tougher settings. We can’t control your environment, though: skin warmth, application technique, and weather conditions all contribute to your success.

Our sprayers are calibrated to deliver 1 mL of formula every 10 sprays, and two sprays is one use for most people, though your own pheromonal output may call for a little more or less. That works out to about five uses per mL: roughly 25 applications from a 5 mL bottle, 50 from a 10 mL, and 150 from a 30 mL. Worn daily at two sprays, a 10 mL lasts well over a month; worn a couple of sprays once a week, it stretches close to a year. Bright comes in Swiss-made black glass with a precision French atomizer head; the glass is difficult to see through, and that’s exactly what keeps your formula protected for the long haul. It’s offered from a 5 mL pocket size up to a 100 mL bottle.

Fragrance Options

Bright’s original scent was a light orange we call Androtics Neroli: a bright citrus burst up top that settles into something so soft most people mistake it for fresh soap. That covert orange plays especially well under the citrus-forward cover fragrances below. Bright ships in these varieties:

• Blue Summer: a fresh aquatic kick of lime and blue agave over salty sea air and tropical guava, drying to sun-soaked musk and warm vanilla. A natural match for Bright’s sunny character.
• Androtics Neroli: the original Androtics orange-grove scent, with solar citrus, mandarin and bergamot, and a spike of mint over a warm sandalwood musk. Light, fresh, unisex.
• Neroli Next: a softer, more floral orange-flower take on neroli. Some love how gentle it is; others find it leans feminine, so sample before you commit.
• Game: our most popular fragrance and the CEO’s favorite. It reads bright and lemon-citrus, but wears like a rush of motivation you’ll keep sniffing off your wrist.
• Carpe Diem: our Creed-inspired aromatic, with ginger, spice, and mandarin up top settling into a warm amber, tonka, and frankincense base. Fresh, sophisticated, barbershop-clean.
• Akuto: designed to spec by a world-class perfumer at IFF, with an aromatic opening and woody drydown that’s read as classy and intelligent for over 20 years.
• Distinction: a sophisticated cologne with real depth, powdery and spicy on the surface and more complex underneath. Our second most popular new fragrance.
• Vanilla: a rich, fun-to-smell vanilla (not the plain kind) that dries down to a smooth, softer vanilla base.
• Myst: a soft, atmospheric option; similar to Acqua di Giò.
• Outlaw: bourbon whiskey and cowboy leather combine into a rugged option full of character.
• Olympus: our nod to Creed Aventus. Rosemary and salt air up top, then juicy pineapple, musk melon and cool fir, drying down on sweet cedarwood and birch.

What’s In It

The active driver is putative P96, the harmonizing mood molecule Bright is built around. It’s carried in your chosen fragrance and dispersed through the V3 particle-processing system. As with all our formulas, these are “experimental social odorants”, not “drugs”, and everything above traces back to real life user field reports plus our own testing.
