If A314 Classic is the dominant boardroom tycoon, the elements “Black Tie” adds are a sort of “magician’s charisma”.

A vibe to entertain, surprise, and delight… while maintaining peak leadership. 

While A314 Classic has always contained micro dosages of P90’s “rich eccentric guy charisma”, Black Tie was especially formulated around P90, one of the most ultra rare and interesting putative pheromones. P90 was Michael’s favorite molecule, and he threw into a heartbroken panic when the original chemist who created it died. A master chemist that arranges work with other chemists for us told us we’d likely never see P90 again due to the complexity of the synthesis. For rare organic chemicals, sometimes the best synthesis route dies with the chemist. Much art and science is lost with each passing. That’s simply a sad fact of the material world.

Well, here we are, a full decade later, and a junior chemist has figured out how to synthesize P90. Yields are still low (the % of usable material they get from inputs), so costs are high. But the effects are still nothing short of marvelous. 

“Rich, Eccentric Guy Charisma” didn’t fit on the back label, so we went for “Black Tie” instead. You definitely find a lot of rich, eccentric guys at black tie affairs.
